Slender and elegant, the Nelson Miniature Chest combines sculptural presence with practical storage. Its six, slim, solid wood drawers are hand-fitted, and accommodate the small and wonderful objects of everyday life. When used with a pedestal, it acts as a standalone sculptural piece. Without the pedestal, it can sit on top of another piece of furniture. George Nelson designed these storage chests in 1952, being inspired by the craft and precision inherent in Japanese design.
